Good Faith Estimate

At Renew Psychotherapy Center, LLC, we are committed to cost transparency in healthcare. Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) detailing expected charges for medical and mental health services before receiving care.

A GFE provides an upfront projection of treatment costs based on information known at the time of scheduling. While actual costs may vary due to unforeseen factors, we will keep you informed of any changes to ensure clarity and confidence in your financial planning. Our goal is to help you make informed decisions while receiving the highest quality care.

What Your Good Faith Estimate Includes

This estimate reflects the costs of items and services reasonably expected for your healthcare needs. The estimate is based on the information available at the time it was created and does not include unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during treatment. Your GFE may include:

  • Diagnostic assessments
  • Therapy sessions
  • Medical procedures
  • Prescription medications
  • Facility or service-related fees

This ensures that you can plan for your care and make informed financial decisions.

Your Rights Under the No Surprises Act

Under federal law, you have the right to:

  • Receive a written Good Faith Estimate at least one business day before your scheduled service
  • Dispute charges if your bill exceeds the estimate by $400 or more through a formal resolution process
  • Request a GFE before scheduling any service to better plan your expenses
  • Obtain an estimate that includes all related costs if multiple providers are involved in your care

It is important to note that a GFE is not a contract. You are not obligated to proceed with the services listed in the estimate, giving you flexibility in your healthcare decisions.

Disputing a Higher Bill

If you receive a bill that is more than $400 higher than your Good Faith Estimate, you can:

  • Contact the provider or facility to request a bill adjustment to match your estimate
  • Negotiate the bill or ask about available financial assistance
  • Start a dispute resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)

Protecting Your Rights & Keeping Records

  • Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate in a safe place or take photos for reference
  • Use it if you receive a bill significantly higher than expected
